What's Happening.

Sat Jan 13, 2007, 11:06 PM
well I finally looked at all of, and commented on several of the submission from those that I watch. I've read the journals... and for once... I am caught up on all my backed Deviantart "stuff" message reading, note reading, comment reading.

Art wise I do have several things that I need to either photo or scan. But these things take time when you don't have a scanner hooked up (although my mother did get an awesome shiny new scanner/printer/fax thing for Christmas that I might have to make good use of).

I also made a HUGE folder containing stock images from assorted sites (not this one, although I bookmarked a few stock photos that I might be doing work based on for this project). And what is the project? Well I intend to finally buckle down and just get better at artwork. First I was to finally MASTER the canine anatomy. I feel like I've got a handle on it, but I want to know how to draw dogs in any and every pose without hardly thinking about it. I want to be able to sketch my puppy while he's taking naps or while he's at least calmly chewing on a toy (and I want those sketches to actually look like Jack).

I've got at least 3 sketchbooks right now that are nearly empty, they're begging to be filled. And I'm going to do so. After my canine project, I'm going to continue on to feline and human. I want to paint/draw people that look like people. And cats, well cats are just part of the progression it's an animal I feel like I should get to know artistically speaking.

I'm also considering getting a subscription to deviantart. It's not THAT expensive, and that way I can browse the way I want, and arrange my page the way I'd prefer. There's enough benefits to make me see that it's worth while.

Oh... and well... this journal is due for a dog rant. So be warned, they'll be bable about abused, unwanted, and abandoned shelter animals here before you know it. This rant will not be accusing anyone for their lack of action or anything like that. I'm not crazy, but there's just too many dog issues that cross my mind anymore for me not to vent somewhere. Although perhaps I'll spare this journal and make it a livejournal thing.

And LASTLY, my website that is linked here, is going to get a re-vamp as soon as I can. Probably within the next two weeks at most. It's going to become mostly an art site. With some dog oriented things (because I'm dog obsessed), and of course my links shall probably remain. Eh, I don't know. but anyway if anyone is interested, it'll be getting a serious remodel and an update.

Oh and Rob is amazing, for more reasons than I have time to divulge.
